I have twelve years’ broad experience with:

  • Project management and supervising people

I have worked for private and nonprofit organizations, associations, and Federal government agencies.

I also have international development experience, having worked for international volunteer organization IESC/Geekcorps in the field in Mali, West Africa, and at its headquarters in Washington, DC.

I am a published writer and trained copyeditor; a published darkroom and digital photographer with expert digital-image editing skills. With a colleague in Mali, I successfully planned and facilitated a weeklong IT training (in French).

Technically speaking, I have experience with XHTML/HTML, CSS, RSS, search engine optimization (SEO), PHP, SSI, XML, MySQL, JavaScript, Perl, UNIX, Web server administration; Section 508 and Web accessibility; user testing; blogging and other Web-based content management systems (CMS).

These days I am most comfortable on Windows, but I have years of Mac experience as well. I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Acrobat, EasyPHP (Apache, MySQL, and PHP), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, OpenOffice, Blogger, WordPress, and Movable Type.
